Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.
The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group reach locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
Future Episodes
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Questers and Strategists groups.
Fans can expect discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
